Dead Horse Point State Park

The drive from Mesa Verde to Moab was beautiful. We stopped at Newspaper Rock to admire the petroglyphs. Unfortunately, Reba was suddenly popping into 3rd gear at 55 mph on slight hills..The transmission reset sequence didn't seem to help.
After a delicious sour at Proper Brewing in Moab, we headed to our campsite at Dead Horse Point State Park. We stopped to admire the views from the Visitor Center before hiking the Rim Trail near our campsite. The visitor center had cell signal which is spotty at best in this area. The admin for the Rialta Facebook group gave us a different transmission reset sequence...fingers crossed.
We then headed to the Dead Horse Point Overlook for sunset.
We secured a 9 a.m. entry for Arches and headed to bed. The ViKing's musical selection: If I Could Only Remember My Name, David Crosby
