Canyonlands
We headed to the end of the Canyonlands upon arrival to hike the aptly named 1.8 mile Grandview Point Trail.
We then headed over to the 1.2 mile Upheaval Dome Overlook trail. There are two theories behind its creation, either a meteorite hit or a trapped salt sea that evaporated over a few hundred million years to create this two mile wide phenomenon.
We stopped at a few viewpoints on the way to Mesa Arch.
It was an easy and rewarding .7 miles to Mesa Arch.
Our final stop was the Shafer Trail overlook.
Canyonlands should definitely be on your must visit list. We headed back to Moab after 8 hours in the park to enjoy some delicious Indian food. Next up, Goblin Valley State Park.
